Melinda has been in the salon industry since 1984, and has always had a vision of creating the ultimate work environment for stylists and technicians. That vision has now come to fruition, as Salone de Capelli.
Being a wife and mother of two, Melinda is concerned with the products we use on ourselves and our children. The choices we make, in the shampoos and lotions we use, can really make a difference. Capelli offers organic hair and skin care products, as well as fair-trade, organic beverages. It is truly a salon with "green" ideals.

Born in Grand Rapids, Michigan, she knew from a young age that if she could showcase a person’s inner beauty, she would be following her passion. Beginning her career as a stylist in GR and continuing on to Traverse City, Brooke brings with her over ten years of salon experience. Over those ten years she has attended numerous hair shows giving her the edge to incorporate trendy, artistic hairstyling. She has had advanced training in color, specializing in sophisticated cutting techniques, with a sharp talent for texturizing to give the hair movement and edge. Brooke has a keen sense to connect with her clients. “I treat every client as an individual. Rachel is a graduate of the Aveda Institute in Minneapolis, where she attended classes taught by Horst M. Rechelbacher, the founder of Aveda. Rachel’s esthiology degree provided skin care training with the emphasis on using pure flower and plant essences in treatments. She is an esthetician specializing in facials, make-up and waxing. Rachel uses Juice Beauty skin care products for her facials, which is up to 95% certified organic and has products available for every skin type, condition and stage in life. She also has certifications from Blue Heron Academy as a massage therapist and Kripalu School of Massage and Bodywork.
Rachel is an educator for Mirabella Cosmetics. Mirabella has been named the top professional makeup line in the salon industry and has the broadest range of shades. Mirabella uses the Fitzpatrick System, which is a scale of color tones from 1 to 6 and includes cool, warm and neutral.

Jacque Kubiac Jacque is a graduate of the Maui Academy of Healing Arts School of Massage Therapy, where she was privileged to study under the direction of the school's founder, John Sanderson. She is skilled and experienced in Swedish, Relaxation, and Therapeutic Massage modalities as well as in Lomi-Lomi, Sports Massage, Pre-natal and Geriatric Massage, Hot Stones, and various forms of energy work. Jacque has been a Registered Nurse since 1981, and is happy to be back in Northern Michigan after having lived and practiced as a State Board Licensed Massage Therapist in Hawaii. With a deep commitment to be ethical in all aspects of her life and work, Jacque has taken as her motto: "To care, to touch, to heal."
